The birds of prey were the first event I attended. The birds of prey were very tamed birds. The
birds came from a shelter that rescues injured birds. The name of the center is
the Three River s Avian Center. They gave us information on how the birds get
injured and ways we can help. The way that birds of prey relates to earth day
would be that citizens should stop littering because some birds have died from
litter and if you stop litter4ing it helps the earth.
The second event I went to was Project Wild is a project that
helps teach young children about the bugs and different things that live in
their yards at home, and helps show the children why you shouldn’t kill the
bugs that they see, because not all bugs are harmful. This relates to earth day
because it show people how bugs and animals can benefit the earth.
The third event was demonstration camping. They showed you
how to put up a tent and they let you make smores, and showed you how to tie
knots with string. Camping relates to earth day because you don’t really use a
lot of power or anything and earth day is all about not using a lot of
electricity and being “green”.
I believe that earth day was created because people wanted
to get the earth to be a healthier planet. I think it could be improved by
having people that are interested in earth day besides just the hippies.
